Hounds round up the Colts in overtime win

Atascadero 28, James Logan 27
After an early 21-0 lead in the first half, the Atascadero Greyhounds (5-1) delivered a crowd-pleasing 28-27 overtime win over the visiting James Logan Colts (5-2) Friday night.

The second half had the Hounds and Colts tied up and forced the teams into overtime. After scoring the first touchdown in overtime, the Colts’ extra point was stopped by Atascadero’s Zach Quigley.

Marc Martin scored the winning touchdown for Atascadero and, with Logan Armstrong kicking in the extra point, the Hounds secured the 28-27 overtime win over the Colts.

The Atascadero Greyhounds are on the road Friday night to do battle with the Righetti Warriors (2-4). Varsity takes the field at 7 p.m.; JV at 4 p.m.
