Local boy appears in Mariah Carey Christmas special
Morgan Stowell, the young boy in green above, returned to television for Mariah Care’s Christmas special, “Merriest Christmas.”
Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas aired Saturday night on Hallmark
–Ten-year-old Atascadero resident Morgan Stowell was featured on television in Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas, a musical special following her movie “A Christmas Melody,” on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, Dec. 18. A Christmas Melody aired at 8 p.m., and the special followed at 10 p.m. Stowell recently made his television debut in a promo video for American Horror Story, starring Lady Gaga.
Stowell has been dancing since he was three, but he has become more serious about it and focused in the past two years as he wants to dance as a career. He trains in Paso Robles at Artistry in Motion and dances about 13-15 hours per week. He takes classes in tap, ballet, acro, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop. He is on the dance school’s competition team and has won many top awards and scholarships over the past few years.
He is one of four children who dances to two of Mariah Carey’s songs while she sings along. He can be seen in the preview video below.
