––Candidate for county supervisor, John Peschong, has received the endorsement of the San Luis Obispo Cattlemen’s PAC in his campaign for county supervisor.

The organization’s president, Pete Clark commented on the unanimous decision of the board, saying, “John has consistently supported local ranchers as well as growers. We trust that as supervisor, he will continue to advocate for one of the region’s most important industries by defending property rights and limiting burdensome regulations.”

Peschong has been a member of both the San Luis Obispo Cattlemen’s Association and San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau. He is the founder of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association and former president of the San Luis Obispo County Lincoln Club.

Peschong joins several other candidates in a race to replace current Supervisor Frank Mecham, who announced earlier this year that he would be retiring. Also on the ballot in June are Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin, Paso Robles City Councilman John Hamon, Paso Robles retired attorney Dale Gustin,

Peschong is a Republican strategist and partner at Meridian Pacific, a political consulting firm. He lives in Templeton with his wife, Anna, and their two children. He is running for First District Supervisor, which includes the City of Paso Robles as well as the communities of San Miguel, Templeton, Heritage Ranch, Shandon, Oak Shores, and Adelaida.

John Peschong is a super nice guy on top of all the experience. I'm sure he will be a good supervisor.
