Man arrested for selling drugs at hotel
Search of Pismo Beach hotel room revealed meth, heroin, scales, weapons
–Gabriel Ray Fuentes, a 36-year-old man from Santa Maria, was arrested Tuesday for charges of selling drugs at the Edgewater Inn in Pismo Beach, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
Recently, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force received information from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Bureau that a Santa Barbara County gang member, identified as Fuentes, was possibly staying in the Pismo Beach area selling narcotics.
On Tueday, Fuentes was reportedly observed at the Edgewater Inn in Pismo Beach and the gang task force conducted a probation compliance check. Fuentes was contacted at the hotel with a warrant for his arrest.
A search of his hotel room revealed approximately 5.3 ounces of suspected methamphetamine with a street value of $6,000, 25.2 grams of suspected heroin with a street value of $2,500, narcotic sales packaging, digital scales, $3,300 dollars in US currency, metal knuckles, and a replica handgun.
Fuentes was booked into county jail on two counts of possession of a controlled substance for sale as well as his outstanding warrant.
