    Cycle de Mayo celebrates National Bike Month

    Free bicycling all ages event to be held Sunday in Templeton Park

    There will be group rides, a BMX show and a Bike Rodeo to teach children how to ride safely, including road rules and a helmet safety check. Group rides meet in Atascadero and Paso Robles, ending at Templeton Park. The Cycle De Mayo team will be providing free valet bike parking.

    Gourmet food truck, Shav n FlavJ. Lohr Wines and Firestone Beer will be available for purchase at the event.

    Cycle de Mayo is a collaboration between Atascadero and Paso Robles Bicycle Advisory Committees. It promotes bicycle safety education and social awareness on the value of bicycling, supporting healthy communities and outdoor recreation.

    Schedule of events:

    • 10 a.m.: Group rides leave from Atascadero and Paso Robles
    • 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Kid’s Bike Rodeo
    • 12:30 p.m.: Family Bike Ride
    • 1 p.m.: BMX Stunt Show
    • All day: Bike Decoration Booth and Kid’s Face Painting
