Camp Roberts informed the community of a controlled fire earlier this week
Sycamore was a blown transformer. String of Italian cypress trees next to the pole caught fire, lighting the tall grass in a front yard. No homes were damaged.
Is this that or something else or the planned burn became out of control… because now they're requesting extra units to respond, per this article??? Anyone know?
Camp Roberts fire appeared to be much more than vegetation. Wonder if the dump where they placed the torn down buildings caught fire?
Hard to believe the Camp Roberts fire was vegetation! The smell here in Paso in the middle of the night was an oil refinery type odor and strong enough we had to close windows!! Terrible smell!
