Body found near freeway in Atascadero 

Police have ruled out foul play, reports say

–A body of a 37-year-old male was found near Highway 101 in Atascadero on Saturday, according to reports. The body was found on Caltrans-owned property at 6550 El Camino Real.

Due to the location of the body, the sheriff’s office conducted an investigation, but have ruled out foul play as of Sunday, reports say.

A medical ID was on the man’s wrist, but the San Luis Obispo County Coroner’s Office is continuing its efforts to confirm the identity. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office reportedly said that the man’s identity might be released early this week. An update will be posted when the identity is received.
