    Marcia Pierce Neville.

    Marcia Pierce Neville.

–Marcia Pierce Neville, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep at 71 years of age. She was longtime resident of Paso Robles.

Neville was a vibrant woman whose fun-loving attitude endeared her to people in virtually every place she visited. Her sense of joy was contagious.

She was born in Glendale, California in 1945 and grew up in nearby San Marino. She met her husband of 49 years, Maurice F. Neville on the University of the Seven Seas, a college program on a student ship. Together they ran an antiquarian bookstore in Santa Barbara for almost 20 years. Marcia was involved with various charities and was active member of the board of The Crane School in Montecito for many years. The couple retired to Paso Robles in 1998.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Morgan Neville, a documentary filmmaker, and Megan Goodwin, a scientist, and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The American Heart Association or The Surfrider Foundation. For more information about memorial arrangements visit: marcianeville.wordpress.com.

Geez Louise! I just saw her at the post office recently! She was the sweetest lady! During the recession she always made generous donations to the Salvation Army because she knew that others couldn't. I'm so sad to hear she's gone!
