    ‘Ring the Bells’ holiday concert slated for Dec. 18

    –San Luis Obispo Winds Orchestra has announced that Inga Swearingen, renowned vocalist, and Michael Nowak, highly acclaimed guest conductor, will star in this year’s Ring the Bells Holiday Concert on Sunday, Dec. 18 at the Cuesta College Cultural and Performing Arts Center. In a special performance, Jennifer Martin will accompany Inga on guitar in Silent Night.

    SLO Winds partners with Center for Family Strengthening to contribute half the net proceeds from the concert to programs that prevent abuse and neglect of children in San Luis Obispo County.

    “We’re thrilled to feature Inga Swearingen and Mike Nowak in this year’s Holiday Concert,” said SLO Wind Board of Directors President Shannon McNeely. “They are both renowned artists and are phenomenally popular on the Central Coast. We’re pleased to donate proceeds to Center for Family Strengthening. CFS prevents child abuse and neglect by offering well developed proven programs that support our families in the County.”

    Ticket prices are $30 per person and $15 for students, and are on sale now at www.cpactickets.cuesta.edu.
