    Windrose Farm to host meet and greet with supervisor candidate

    Business will host meet and greet with Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin

    Windrose Farm of Paso Robles will host a meet and greet afternoon social for Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin, a candidate for San Luis Obispo 1st District Supervisor on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Wine and appetizers featuring the farm’s signature heirloom tomatoes will be served. The event is free. Campaign contributions will be accepted but are not required. Martin will make a short presentation on the campaign issues and his positions. A question and answer session will follow.

    Windrose Farm is a small family farm located east of Paso Robles, near Creston in a unique valley of 50 acres, 12 are in vegetable rotations, 6 are in apples and stone fruit and five are sheep pasture. The farm often hosts dinners featuring area chefs and local musicians as well as educational events that promote sustainable and organic gardening practices.

    Martin is vying for First District Supervisor, which includes the City of Paso Robles as well as the communities of Templeton, Heritage Ranch, San Miguel, Shandon, Adelaida, and Oak Shores. He will face candidate John Peschong in November.
