Hundreds turn out for groundwater management meeting
Posted: 5:57 am, February 28, 2017 by Reporter Dick Mason
–A workshop was recently held at Kermit King Elementary School in Paso Robles to discuss groundwater management in the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin. Planners with the San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department coordinated the workshop.
The intent was to discuss compliance with the new Groundwater Management Law passed by the state legislature in 2015.
San Luis Obispo County residents have until June 30 to comply with that law. Carolyn Berg is Senior Water Resource Engineer with the Public Works Department. She facilitated the workshop at Kermit King. She says more workshop will be held. Landowners may also contact her office for more information.
About 200 people turned out for the workshop.
