Saddle up for Cowboy Boot Camp in Paso Robles

Cowboy Boot Campcowboy campEvent includes trail emergency first aid clinic, dinner and wine at Eos Estate Winery

PASO ROBLES – Cowboy Boot Camp®, one of the leading natural horsemanship companies in Southern California, will present a unique horsemanship clinic in Paso Robles on Saturday, Oct. 19 as part of their “What Every Horse Wants His Owner to Know” ™ series.

This “Clinic, Meal & More” event takes advantage of the exquisite Central Coast wine region while offering valuable hands-on practice and information on how to respond quickly and confidently to horseback riding emergencies for both the horse and human.

Unfortunately, bad things sometimes happen when you’re riding or when you and your horse are at a remote location at a time when a vet might not be available. A horse depends upon his human companion to make him feel better or possibly even save his life; trail emergency treatments, step-by-step assessment procedures for the horse and human will be covered and discussed. Instructors include Jim Moore, Cowboy Boot Camp; a local equine veterinary practitioner as well as a registered nurse and licensed paramedic.

Afterwards, participants can dust off their boots and enjoy red oak grilled tri tip and pulled-pork sandwiches with all the fixing’s and live country music and horseshoes at the award-winning Eos Estate Winery. In celebration of the area’s Wine Harvest, the vineyard, located at 2300 Airport Road, will be offering Cowboy Boot Camp attendees special tastings and wine by the glass or bottle.

Purchase your tickets now by going to www.CowboyBootCamp.net. Advanced ticket purchasers will receive a free gift of an Emergency Hoof Cover; its uses include temporary protection for a lost shoe or as an abscess or wound treatment applicator.
