Local a cappella group to perform first concert at PAC SLO

Take it SLO, Cal Poly A Cappella group will be hosting its first ever Spanos Theater show June 3

–Cal Poly’s original a cappella group, Take It SLO, will be performing their 14th annual spring concert on June 3 at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30.) This year, the group has an exciting upgrade. The concert will be held in Spanos Theatre, rather than the choir room like previous years. Past shows have sold out consistently so this new venue, which seats 500, will be an exciting upgrade. Lights, choreography and a state-of-the-art sound system are all new features that will be showcased in this performance.

Another exciting change is the group will be performing almost a completely new set. In previous years, songs have been repeated multiple shows. This year’s group decided to challenge the old by arranging and learning seven brand new songs to be showcased along with their other repertoire.

Previous accomplishments of the group include recording EP’s and even being one of the six out of 18 groups selected to compete in the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival in February 2017. Recordings are available on iTunes, Spotify and Pandora Radio.

More information about the event can be found on the PAC SLO website, Take it SLO’s website, or the official Facebook event at
