Fire at Camp Roberts burns 1000 acres

–On Friday afternoon, a Fire at Camp Roberts was reported in the middle of the base. The fire eventually grew to approximately 1000 acres before full containment, according to Cal Fire. No injuries were reported, and no structures were destroyed. Crews were able to contain the fire within a few hours.

Cal Fire and Camp Roberts fire remained on the scene mopping up the fire for several hours.
