Twin Cities hosting LGBTQ healthcare forum
–Twin Cities Community Hospital is hosting an LGBTQ Healthcare Community Forum on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Founders’ Pavilion located adjacent to the hospital at 1220 Las Tablas Road in Templeton. The community is invited to meet local healthcare providers who are committed to improving the health and well-being of the LGBTQ community with sensitive and culturally competent care. There will also be a roundtable discussion about the state of LGBTQ healthcare in our community and the issues that matter most to LGBTQ patients and their families. Refreshments will be served. Accreditation is expected later this year. The goal is to ensure that patients, employees and visitors continue to feel safe, secure, welcomed and protected from discrimination.
