Twin Cities hosting LGBTQ healthcare forum

“At Twin Cities we are focused on providing a safe and welcoming environment to everyone we serve and to delivering high-quality care to all our patients,” says Mark Lisa, chief executive officer of Twin Cities Community Hospital. “As such, we must provide care that is culturally competent and patient-centered to all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability or veteran status.”
In an effort to ensure it is a welcoming and inclusive hospital for all patients, employees and visitors, Twin Cities Community Hospital is currently in the process of becoming a Leader in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality as designated by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Accreditation is expected later this year. The goal is to ensure that patients, employees and visitors continue to feel safe, secure, welcomed and protected from discrimination.
