Bank of Sierra donates $7000 to local nonprofits

The Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation intends to use their grant to continue their mission of youth enrichment, in the form of free classes in visual and performing arts for low-income youth. Los Padres Council Boy Scouts of America will maintain their youth programs, provide funding to underprivileged children who cannot afford to participate in their programs, and recover from a fire that damaged their outdoor school and resident camp. The Los Padres Council of Boy Scouts of America is the regional organization for the Del Norte District, which serves Boy Scout troops in Paso Robles, Atascadero, Santa Margarita, Templeton, Creston and Cambria. The Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County will use their funds to clothe 22 underprivileged K–12 grade students.
Kevin McPhaill, Bank President and CEO said, “We are thankful for the opportunity to work with organizations that so graciously support the members of our communities.”
Since its inception in 2004 the Sierra Grant Program has been responsible for donating over $1.7 million to organizations that improve local communities. Non-profits who wish to apply for a Sierra Grant can pick up an instructional brochure at any Bank of the Sierra branch, or visit the bank’s grant programs website.
