Shared Histories, portraits from the 1800s by R.J. Arnold at the library

–The Paso Robles City Library invites the public to enjoy the El Paseo de Robles Historical Society’s photography collection of R.J. Arnold in February. Arnold, who had studios in Monterey and San Luis Obispo in the 1800s, primarily took portraits of people from all socio-economic levels and ethnicities in San Luis Obispo County. The historic black and white photos were created from scans of the glass-plate photo negatives.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Mon-Fri from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sat 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information about library programs and events call (805) 237-3870 or visit the library website.
