Phyllis Joyce Taylor Todd dies at 79

Phyllis was active in her church callings and she loved the lord. She married our Dad, Lorin Todd in the Logan Utah Temple on October 14, 1957. They had a happy marriage and were blessed with eight children: six sons and two daughters. Mom did jobs to earn extra money or to help out when finances were tight; she worked at a bakery, delivered newspapers, took in foster kids and ironed clothes for people. She raised sheep, rabbits, chickens and turkeys.
She always had a garden and loved gardening and canning her own food. The garden was her second home. She loved to play Secret Santa for families in need and always had our whole family involved, which was a favorite memory of the holidays growing up. She was always willing to serve others and loved people in general.
In 2001 our parents served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Miami, Florida mission speaking Portuguese. Mom was always so happy and always singing, she used to wake us up for school with a song and loved to tickle and tease. She was fun loving to everyone.
In her last years she lived with and was cared for by her loving son and daughter-in-law Darryl and Manulani. Phyllis AKA Joyce, Mom or Grandma, was preceded in death by both her parents and her two sisters and by three of her sons David in 1999, Daniel and Deric in 1994. She is survived by daughters Joy (Jay) Lundberg, Janan (Osama) Elnasser, and sons Darryl (Manulani) Todd, Dwain (Shirley) Todd, Deon (Heather) Todd. 35 grandkids and 13 great grandkids.
Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1020 Creston Rd. Paso Robles CA 93446 on Jan. 26, 2018.
Viewing begins at 11:30 a.m. and the service will begin at 12 p.m.
She will be laid to rest in Pine Mountain Cemetery in Atascadero, California.
Till’ we meet again!
