Letter: Yes, the homeless population is growing
To the editor,
I read ‘Are the homeless becoming more present in Paso’ with incredulity tinged with sadness. I suppose it would be more convenient to ensure they are not seen or heard from. However, to answer your question, yes, the homeless population is growing. For whatever reason, you didn’t know this. Perhaps you frequent places where you don’t have to face the grim reality that our society is in an utter state of decline, with people suffering all over our “developed” country. So let me answer your question: yes, they are everywhere. They are human beings experiencing a tough time. I hope if I ever run into you and you are down, I show you the compassion your letter seems to suggest you greatly lack.
