SLO County Democratic Party announces endorsements for local offices

    – The San Luis Obispo Democratic Party has confirmed its initial set of official endorsements of candidates for local offices on the ballot this June 5.

With unanimous decisions issued this week, SLO County Democratic Party has endorsed:

    Greg Clayton – County Sheriff
Tim Covello – Superior Court Judge
Judge Mike Cummins – District Attorney
Earlier this year, the Party also endorsed:
Jimmy Paulding for 4th District Supervisor
Bruce Gibson for 2nd District Supervisor
Voting by mail begins May 7.

“We’re proud to have such an outstanding lineup this year of highly qualified candidates for local office,” said Rosemary Wrenn, Chair of the SLO County Democratic Party. “Local Democrats have a lot of reason for optimism this year, but we’re not fooling ourselves – we’ve got a lot of work to do.”

The Party is always interested in recruiting volunteers, precinct walkers, phone bankers and letter writers.

To volunteer, visit the SLO Democratic Party Headquarters at 75 Higuera St., Suite 110, San Luis Obispo, or call (805) 546-8499.

Voter registration information can also be found at www.slocdp.org or on Facebook at SLOCDP.
