Accomplished poet Nathan Brown visits the Central Coast

Poet Nathan Brown brings poems and music performances to three locations in San Luis Obispo County.

Poet will perform three shows through the county

Nathan Brown is an author, singer/songwriter, and award-winning poet from Austin, Tx. He will be performing three different showcases with Steve Key’s Songwriters at Play, and will lead a workshop for the creative writers and students interested in songwriting at Morro Bay High School.

Nathan has performed from the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association in Long Island, NY to the Sisters Folk Festival in Oregon, as well as the Woody Guthrie Festival in Okemah, Oklahoma. His performances of poetry have been likened to musical concerts, and, in fact, he now makes a big part of his living from house concerts and live shows that combine songs and poems.

The showcases schedule for Nathan Brown:

    • Friday March 23, at Morro Bay High School
    • Friday March 23, at East Wellbeing and Tea in San Luis Obispo at 5:30 p.m.

    • Saturday, March 24 at Morro Bay Wine Cellar Music at 6:30 p.m.
    • Sunday, March 25 at Sculpterra Winery in Paso Robles at 1:00 p.m.

Nathan has been a performing artist and published poet and songwriter for over 25 years now. He also served as the Poet Laureate for the state of Oklahoma in 2013/14.
