    Bearcat sports results for Apr. 26-27 

    –Paso Robles High School Director of Athletics, Anthony Morales, has announced the results of Bearcat athletics for Apr. 26-27.

    Men’s Tennis

    Paso had its last regular season league match last Thursday at St. Joesph. Both teams came out fighting. At the end of the match, both teams were tied 9-9 in sets and 79-79 in games. The match then went into a round of tiebreakers to get the winner. After round one of the tie break, the Bearcats and the Knights were tied again 3-3. Another round was played when the Knights went ahead 4-2 winning the match. Both teams played really well as this was the first time either team had tied on sets and games.

    Singles:
    Reese Eddy swept his singles sets with scores of 6-3, 6-3, 6-1
    Jason Belton 6-3, 6-4, 1-6
    Brysan Pesenti 6-1, 4-6, 6-1
    Doubles:
    Ryan Stronks – Jake Dersham 4-6, 5-7, 6-4
    CJ Wilson – Chase Diedrich 1-6, 6-3, 3-6
    Christian Fay – Christian Anaya 5-7
    Christian Anaya- Jeb Baker 2-6, 0-6

    Paso ends the season at 9-9 and 7-7 in league play. Varsity tennis has PAC 8 preliminaries on Thursday, May 3 and Finals Friday, May 4.

    Baseball

    Varsity baseball defeated Righetti High School 15-3 last Friday. It was a great week as the Bearcats swept the Warriors in all three games last week. On May 1, the Bearcats hosted SLO. Game time was set for 4:30 p.m.

    Track & Field

    Meet Recaps:
    Last Friday, the Bearcats traveled to Atascadero for the PAC 8 Prelims. Complete results can be found by clicking here. Those athletes with big or little Qs next to their time have qualified onto finals.

    Upcoming Meets

    PAC 8 Finals – The meet we have been building towards the entire year…The meet will be on Thursday. Field events start at 2 p.m. and track events start at 5 p.m.

    Athletes that will be competing include:
    All Relays
    All Varsity Field Events
    All VG and VB 3200m Runners
    Everyone that qualified from last week’s prelims

    After Finals we head to CIF Prelims. To qualify for CIF you must be varsity and be the league champion in your event or take second or third place and meet the minimum entry mark (Crimson PR Shirt Mark). The last way to qualify is to run the CIF At-Large Mark at league finals. Click here for the CIF 2/3 and At-Large Marks are attached.

    Athletic competition for May 1 consists of the following:
    Men’s Golf at PAC 8 League Finals – Lompoc 11 a.m.
    Swim at PAC 8 Preliminaries – Arroyo Grande High School 3 p.m.
    Varsity Baseball vs. SLO – PRHS 4:30 p.m.
    JV Baseball at Righetti High School 4:30 p.m.
    JV and Varsity Softball @ Arroyo Grande High School 4:30 p.m.
    Varsity Men’s Volleyball at Mission College Prep High School 5:30 p.m.

    Dive at PAC 8 Diving Finals – Arroyo Grande High School 10 a.m.
    Men’s Golf at PAC 7 League Finals – Morro Bay 12 p.m.
    Varsity Baseball at SLO 4:30 p.m.
    JV and Varsity Softball vs. Pioneer Valley 4:30 p.m.
    Freshman Baseball at SLO 4:30 p.m.
    JV Baseball vs. SLO 4:30 p.m.
