Best summer camps for kids in Paso Robles and the North County
–Most parents like to plan some extra enrichment for their children by enrolling them in summer camps. Here is a list of some of the best summer camps available for Paso Robles and North County kids.
Bob Cantu’s Basketball Camp
Former University of Southern California basketball coach Bob Cantu will offer three sessions of basketball camp in San Luis Obispo County with one at Paso Robles High School from June 18 to 21 at 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Camp Natoma
This is a popular week-long overnight summer camp in the hills outside of Paso Robles with six sessions available from June 24 to Aug. 11 for students leaving first grade through leaving ninth grade. Each session runs Sunday to Saturday and offers a week of sleeping under the stars. Campers gain self-confidence, become positive team-players, expand their imagination, and develop a relationship with the natural world. It will also offer one family camp from June 22 to 24. Charles Paddock Zoo
The zoo has a long-standing tradition of zoo camp throughout the summer. There are six weeks of summer camp offered, running July 16, 2018 @ 9:00 AM (PDT) – Friday, July 20, 2018 @ 12:00 PM. There is a camp for everyone this summer; 3 to 5-year-olds, 6 to 8-year-olds and 9 to 12-year-olds. The campers will learn about wildlife diversity, conservation and their own central coast zoo through a series of learn-by-doing activities, animal meet and greets, keeper chats, crafts, zoo tours, games and more. City of Paso Robles summer camps
The City of Paso Robles is offering multiple options for kids this summer, including: Central Cal Diving/Springboard Diving, Good Dogs Kid’s Kamp, Lego Engineering, Magic Camp and Science Camp. College for Kids Summer at Cuesta College
Students entering fifth through ninth grades can take advantage of two sessions of College for Kids at Cuesta College’s campus in San Luis Obispo. Classes run Monday through Thursday. Sessions will be held June 18 to July 5 and July 9 through July 25. They include a wide variety of courses in science, computers, sports and hands-on activities. Playtime Discoveries Summer Camp
Playtime Discoveries is offering a summer camp for children at 7600 Morro Road in Atascadero. The ten-week program runs 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. from June 18 to Aug. 9 for children 4 to 11. SLO High School Summer Youth Camps
San Luis Obispo High School offers Sports Summer Youth Camps for boys and girls. A variety of classes in robotics, soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, and cheer are available. Camps run a week at a time from June 11 through Aug. 17. They are designed with an emphasis on fun and skill development. Youth Horse Riding Camp

YMCA Paso Robles Pioneer Day Camp
The YMCA at Centennial Park in Paso Robles offers a comprehensive summer camp program that runs from June 18 to Aug. 10 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. every weekday for children from 4 1/2 to 12-years-old. The camp is designed and staffed to be age-appropriate and gives children the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new friends.
