Skills USA supporters honored at annual sponsors’ dinner
–Paso Robles High School Skills USA honored supporters at the Annual Sponsors’ Dinner Wednesday night at the Paso Robles Culinary Arts Academy.
Ten Paso Robles students won state championships at Skills USA competition recently in San Diego. They won in skills ranging from baking to web design.
Sophomores Liz Phillips and Avery Thompson won the web design competition for a fictional Star Wars exhibit at Disneyland.
Nine students, including Liz and Avery, will compete at the nationals held in Louisville in early June. One state champion from Paso Robles is a foreign exchange student. Her visa expires before the national competition so she will not compete.
