Prescribed burn planned at Paso Robles Airport this week

This prescribed burn was planned and coordinated with the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District in order to minimize the smoke impacts on surrounding areas. The burn is dependent on weather and air quality conditions that are favorable for smoke dispersal. If the conditions are not as desired, the burn will be postponed to a future date.
People in the area of the airport and/or traveling on Highway 46 East may see smoke from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each day of the burn. In the unlikely event you smell smoke, take precautions to reduce any harmful health effects such as avoiding strenuous outdoor activity and/or remaining indoors as much as possible. These precautions are especially important for children, the elderly, and people with respiratory and heart conditions.
