Woman reports finding razor blades in shoes at Paso Robles Walmart
KSBY reports an Atascadero woman says she and her daughter found razor blades in a couple of shoes at the Walmart in Paso Robles.
Bonnie Yañez posted about the incident on Facebook.
She said a small razor blade fell out of a shoe when her daughter removed the paper stuffing inside. Yañez said she also found another razor lodged in a pair of shoes next to the first pair.
Yañez said she reported it to Walmart staff.
“We’re appalled someone would do this in our store, and we’re thankful no one was injured,” Walmart said in a statement sent to KSBY on Monday. “We’ve checked similar items in the surrounding area and found no other issues.”
Yañez said in follow-up comments on the Facebook post that she did not initially report the incident to police because the Walmart associates said they would handle it, but she has since made an online report to the police department.
