–The Paso Robles City Council voted to follow the recommendations of parking consultant Julie Dixon. Based in San Diego, Julie Dixon and her associates with Dixon Resources Unlimited work with cities throughout the country to address parking issues.
The “Near Term” solutions for Paso Robles include improved signage and outreach to encourage employees to park out of the downtown area.
Last week, John Rausch of Park Cinema hosted two Public Forums to discuss the parking issues in the downtown area and potential solutions to those problems. Raush shared that he counted 90 cars in the downtown area parked by employees who worked nearby. Those cars parked all day long around the downtown city park limit the parking places available to retails customers.
