Tickets on sale now for annual senior barbecue
–Tickets are now on sale for the “Celebrate Seniors BBQ,” a fundraiser for the Paso Robles Senior Center. The barbecue takes place on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Paso Robles Senior Center at 270 Scott Street. Tickets are just $10 and include delicious barbecued chicken prepared by the Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary Club, salads, beans, bread and a root beer float served by members of the Paso Robles Fire Department.
“We invite the entire community to come support the gem that is our Senior Center,” says Kristi Messina, Paso Robles Senior Center Coordinator. “With live music from the Wine Country Troubadours, raffle prizes and games there will be no shortage of fun and comradery.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center. Proceeds from the event will be used to enhance the Senior Center facility and offerings. Each month, over 3,000 seniors participate in the 40 classes and groups that meet at the center. For many seniors, the center is the heart of their active lives. The center is also a key resource for discovering local services available to seniors.
