    Highway 41 maintenance project begins next week 

    –A two-week maintenance project to grind and pave six miles along State Route 41 from north of the “Wye” intersection in northeast San Luis Obispo County towards Kettleman City, to just south of the San Luis Obispo/Kern County Line will begin next Tuesday, April 2. Roadwork days are as follows:

    • Tuesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 4
    • Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11
    • Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16

     

    Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and can expect delays of up to 30 minutes. Motorists may use State Route 46 or 33 as an alternate route.

    Electronic message signs will be posted to alert motorists of this roadwork and the CHP will assist with enforcement and traffic control. Roadwork is being performed by the Shandon Maintenance Crew and is expected to complete by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, weather permitting.

    Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down while driving through highway construction zones.
