Fire extinguished in riverbed

–At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Paso Robles Emergency Services received reports of black smoke in the 3400 block of North River Rd.
When fire personnel arrived on scene they discovered a 20′ by 20′ spot fire in the Salinas Riverbed, according to eye-witness reports. Firefighters had the fire extinguished by 10:55 a.m. Smoke was seen in the center of the riverbed. No further details are available at this time.
