Mural unveiling, artist reception planned at Vineyard Dog Park
–Vineyard Dog Park directors will host an official mural unveiling and artist reception on Saturday, July 13 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at the dog park. All are welcome to attend (with or without a dog). Free coffee and pastries will be served at the reception.
The new mural, painted by local artist Lin Mercer, is the eighth mural since the park’s opening in 2009. Lin’s design was selected by the park directors from entries submitted to a contest held earlier in the year. The mural is located at the dog park’s main entrance.
Lin’s whimsical mural design includes a colorful panorama of dogs (and a few cats and birds) of all shapes and personalities in the bleacher section of a sporting match. Lin Mercer is a local artist, painter and muralist, and has been showing her artwork on the Central Coast for over 20 years.
