Atascadero woman injured after accident on Highway-41

–On Thursday at approximately 6:59 p.m. 23-year-old Chelsea Taylor of Atascadero was driving her 2009 Nissan Versa Southbound on Highway-41 approaching Homestead Road at an unknown speed.
58-year-old Jon Wells was driving a 2016 Ford Edge on Highway-41, at an unknown speed approaching Homestead Road. For reasons still under investigation, he failed to yield to oncoming traffic; subsequently, he turned directly into the path of the Nissan that Taylor was driving.
Taylor was transported by ground to Sierra Vista Hospital with major injuries.
Impairment is not suspected; however, the collision is still under investigation.
