‘Body in Balance’ Tai Chi Gong workshop offered Oct. 17
–A special, “Body in Balance” Tai Chi Gong workshop will be offered Oct. 17 – from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Centennial Park – Banquet Room B, located at 600 Nickerson Dr. in Paso Robles. The cost of the workshop is $18.
Tai Chi is based on Qigong (chi gong) and both arts have been practiced for centuries to improve breathing, posture, and relaxation. Learn the basics of this ancient exercise system which combines breathing with relaxed focused attention to body movement. The gentle strengthening exercises improve balance, mobility, flexibility, and calm the central nervous system.
The slow, meditative movements help break the stress cycle to improve overall health and vitality, and can be added to any repertoire of strategies to regain and maintain a healthy lifestyle. All are welcome. No previous experience necessary.

Faye Baker is a certified instructor (Sifu) in Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong, and Longevity Breathing. In additional to Tai Chi and Qigong, Baker, a black belt in TaeKwonDo, has over 40 years of training in other movement arts: Yoga, Aikido, Judo, Kung Fu, and Acupressure. She specializes in helping people learn functional methods to bring more comfort and ease into their daily lives.
