    – The City of Atascadero has been recognized with the Excellence Award in Budgeting from the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers for its 2025-2027 Operating Budget.

The California Society of Municipal Finance Officers is an organization dedicated to promoting excellence in government finance. City Manager Jim Lewis added, “Our City staff continues to set a high standard of excellence, and we are proud of their dedication and hard work in serving our community. The Administrative Services team has devoted countless hours to ensuring the budget is accurate, transparent, and accessible to everyone. This comprehensive process reflects collaboration across every City department, the Finance Committee, City Council, and community members who actively contribute to shaping our priorities.”
