Awards ceremony honors Templeton business and citizens
The Paso Robles and Templeton Chamber of Commerce celebrated local businesses and citizens who have given back to their community.
Chamber of Commerce recognizes Miller Drilling, Teresa Dellaganna and Melinda Reed
– The Paso Robles and Templeton Chamber of Commerce honored Miller Drilling as the 2024 Templeton Business of the Year, Teresa Dellaganna as Citizen of the Year, and Melinda Reed with the Community Enhancement award during the annual Christmas Tree Auction and Awards Ceremony on Dec. 5.
“These prestigious awards honor individuals and businesses that have demonstrated exceptional service, dedication, and contributions to the community,” the chamber’s website states. “The awards reflect the deep commitment of Templeton’s residents and business owners to make the area a better place to live and work.”

Business of the Year Miller Drilling has served Templeton for over 60 years; current owners Eric and Carrie Thomas have led the business since 2017. Services include well drilling, well development, and pump service.

Citizen of the Year Teresa Dellaganna, a fourth-generation Templeton resident, owns event management business Della Jean, which serves clients such as the California Mid-State Fair, Paso Robles Children’s Museum, and Hospice du Rhône. She also volunteers as a Templeton High School softball coach and is an ordained minister.
Melinda Reed, awarded the Community Enhancement award, at the Templeton Community Library.
Melinda Reed received the Community Enhancement award for her work with the Templeton Community Library, which opened in 2022. Reed, president of the Templeton Community Library Association, previously owned florist and event coordination business Perfect Petals and co-owned KeINik Vineyards.
