Family-friendly event will occur on Halloween night

– The Atascadero Downtown Business Improvement District has announced the return of the annual ” Trick or Treat on Entrada” Halloween event. This family-friendly celebration will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Downtown Atascadero’s Entrada Avenue.

Dozens of local downtown businesses and non-profits are coming together to create a memorable evening filled with laughter, costumes, and, of course, an abundance of sweet treats.

“We’ve enjoyed seeing the energy being put into this event by Emilie Goldstein with Bramble Pie Company, who is part of the Business Improvement District for Downtown,” said Josh Cross, Atascadero Chamber CEO. “It’s sure to be a spooktacular way to launch the evening and support merchants at the same time.”

Event highlights:

  • Haunted house: Step into a world of fright and delight, thanks to the spine-tingling expertise of The Haunt. This year’s haunted house promises a thrilling experience for all who dare to enter.
  • Hay maze: Sponsored by Atascadero Hay and Feed, the hay maze offers a delightful challenge for kids and adults alike, providing endless entertainment throughout the evening.
  • Live music: Groove to the rhythm with great music provided by Traffic Records, setting the stage for a lively and festive atmosphere.
  • Costume contests: Show off your creative costumes and compete in various categories, including children, adults, and even pets. Prizes await the most impressive and imaginative costumes.
  • Community engagement: Join the Atascadero Police and Fire Departments, who will be on hand to share in the Halloween spirit and provide opportunities to explore their vehicles.

According to Cross, ” Trick or Treat on Entrada” is the perfect way for families to enjoy a safe and enjoyable Halloween experience. From trick-or-treating and entertainment to fun attractions, this event has something for everyone.”

To accommodate this celebration, Entrada Avenue will be temporarily closed to traffic between El Camino Real and Palma Avenue on Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. This street closure ensures a secure environment for all event participants.
