Fire destroys home in Paso Robles 

A fire early Thursday evening destroyed a home in Paso Robles, Cal Fire reports.

The blaze on the 900 block of South River Road was first reported around 5:00 p.m.

The 2,000-square foot home is a total loss, Cal Fire reports. The fire extended into more than an acre of nearby vegetation, but firefighters were able to stop the spread of the fire and protect other structures. A nearby home was spared because the wind was blowing in the opposite direction.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by Cal Fire.
