Hawk attack reported near Theater Drive
‘Bird dug its claws into his head’
–Local resident Shannon Simmons reported her partner was attacked by a hawk Wednesday as he left the bus stop near the Target shopping center on Theater Drive. “The bird swooped down and dug its claws into the top of his head ripping into the flesh creating sudden blood loss. His shirt was bloody in minutes and his hair was completely covered with blood in a couple minutes,” Simmons told the Paso Robles Daily News.

Simmons said she thinks the hawk was trying to protect its nest, but she is concerned that it might attack another person.
