Joan Hussey dies at 80
–Joan Elaine Hussey passed away on Dec. 1, 2015 at Twin Cities Community Hospital. Hussey was born Sept. 16, 1935 at Weidemann Maternity Home in Paso Robles, and graduated from Paso Robles High School.
She is preceded in death by mother Gertrude Moore, father Clyde Herrier, and son Rick W. Hursell. She is survived by brother Mark Wachter, sister Clydette Herrier, children Phillip E. Hursell of Ventura, Gregory J. Hursell of San Miguel, Ross L. Hursell of San Miguel, Paul C. Hursell of San Miguel, grandchildren Ryan, Kaila and Jessie Hursell of Paso Robles, Taylor Hursell of Ventura, Jeffrey Breedlove of Houston, and great-grandson Jaxon Hursell of Paso Robles.
Hussey worked 25 years as a Stock Clerk for the State of California at Camp Roberts and volunteered as a docent at the museum at Camp Roberts for many years. She loved spending time with family and working in her garden.
Visitation will be held at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home on Thursday Dec. 10 and Friday Dec. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial services will be held at Mission San Miguel on Saturday Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. Burial services will be at San Miguel Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.
