‘Lights of Hope’ will once again shine in Paso Robles Downtown City Park

Cancer Support Community, Paso Robles, Templeton

Event aims to honor those affected by cancer while lighting up Paso’s Downtown City Park

– The City of Paso Robles is set to dazzle residents and visitors with a display of lights this holiday season at the annual Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony. This tradition also symbolizes Cancer Support Community – California Central Coast’s 11th Annual Paso Lights of Hope, and it aims to honor those affected by cancer while lighting up Paso’s Downtown City Park.

On the evening of Friday, Nov. 25, the festive season will officially kick off when Mrs. Claus illuminates the display. These lights will grace the park nightly, infusing warmth and hope into the community throughout the holiday season.

“The downtown tree lighting ceremony is one of our favorite traditions each year, and Cancer Support Community is proud to help light the winter season, shining a beacon of hope on our mission, ‘so that no one faces cancer alone,'” Cancer Support Community’s Executive Director Candice Sanders Galli said, “Our hope is that these lights bring joy to the community while honoring cancer patients, survivors, and those we have lost.”

In an effort to make this year’s display even more vibrant and impactful, Paso’s Lights of Hope will adorn seventeen trees, offering a unique opportunity for sponsorship. Last year’s tree sponsors included a diverse group of community supporters such as the Clark and Lacey Families, Niner Wine Estates, Thom Schulz in honor of Laura Coats, Radiology Associates, Adelaide Inn, Re/Max Success Charities, and Martin Resorts.

“Lights of Hope is our way of enhancing the City Park’s holiday charm while raising funds and awareness for our programs in a unique and special way,” Sanders Galli further added, “We extend a warm invitation to businesses and individuals to honor their loved ones by sponsoring a bulb, a branch, or an entire tree. Support for this event empowers us to continue providing free social and emotional support services for local families touched by cancer.”

Paso’s Lights of Hope is a collaborative endeavor between the Cancer Support Community, the City of Paso Robles, and the Paso Robles Downtown Main Street Association.
