Orval Monroe Dellfous.
– Orval Monroe Dellfous, 92, of Cayucos CA, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, after a short illness. Orval was born on April 8, 1932, in Templeton to Harold and Ora Dellfous. He was a standout in sports at Sutter High School, College of the Sequoias, and Sacramento State University. Orval joined the Marine Corps and proudly served in the Korean War.
He became a police officer in Tulare CA, worked for the Agency for International Development during the Vietnam War, and later joined the police force in Salinas CA. For the past 37 years, he has enjoyed his retirement in Cayucos, CA with his loving wife of 69 years, Arlene. He is survived by his wife Arlene, his daughters Loree Clary (Tim), Lisa Yonekura (Derek), Marianne Hunter (Jerry), his son Greg Dellfous, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Orval will be greatly missed by his family.
