Tickets go on sale March 7

    – The Head and the Heart have announced their upcoming Aperture tour, which will include a stop at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, Calif. The concert is scheduled for the summer, and tickets will go on sale Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

The show is part of a nationwide tour supporting the band’s new album, Aperture, set for release on May 9. This marks the band’s debut for Verve Forecast. The album’s lead single, “After the Setting Sun,” was released today and is available for streaming. The new track follows the success of their #1 AAA single “Arrow” and a special version of the track featuring Mt. Joy, which benefits victims of recent fires in Los Angeles.

The band’s Aperture tour kicks off on May 31 in Detroit and will also feature stops at Central Park Summerstage in New York City and the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, in addition to the Paso Robles concert. The tour includes appearances at Summerfest and Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival this summer. For each ticket sold, the band will donate $1 to the Rivers and Roads Foundation, which supports Seattle-based music programs with a focus on music education and mental health resources for musicians.

Aperture is the band’s first self-produced record since their debut album in 2011. It follows their 2022 album Every Shade of Blue. Band member Matty Gervais explained the meaning behind the album title, stating that it represents the choice between “resigning ourselves to darkness, or letting the light in and recognizing our own agency to do so.”

The band has been working on the album for over a year, recording between Seattle and Richmond, Va. The sessions brought a fresh energy to the band’s music, with raw, unpolished songs that contrasted with their previous, more studio-focused work. The group’s members took on production duties themselves, which led to a more personal and independent sound.

Tickets for the Paso Robles concert will be available via Ticketmaster starting March 7 at 10 a.m.
