11 man football returns to Mission College Prep

—Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School (Mission College Prep) is pleased to announce the return of 11-man football. Varsity will play three games of 11-man and eight games of 8-man league. Junior varsity will play 11-man for the entire season.
Varsity will play Morro Bay High School, another to be determined high school and San Luis Obispo High School for the third game.
“Mission College Prep remains committed to creating a championship 11-man football program,” said David Schuster, Head Football Coach of Mission College Prep. “After having a tremendously positive first year as the Head Coach, I’m excited about our progress and direction. We are rebuilding the program at a rapid pace in a sustainable way.”
The 8-man league will compete in the Central Section League and MCP will have an exciting line up of returning starters and players. Brayden Farr and Brian Kowall received All CIF honors and will be returning along with Vance Rocha, Mace Sherlock and Dalton Strauss who all received ALL-CIF Honorable Mention.
Elite coaches have been joining the MCP athletic department including David Schuster (May 2017) as head football coach, Elliot Stewart (June 2017) as head baseball coach and Alexis Lomeli (October 2017) as head coach for men’s soccer under the leadership of Vic Ecklund.
