13th annual festival celebrates olive industry

Paso Robles Olive Festival was held on Saturday.

Crowds sample olive products in Downtown City Park Saturday

–The 13th Annual Paso Robles Olive Festival, a Paso Robles Main Street Association event was held Saturday, June 4 in Downtown City Park to celebrate the olive industry. Hundreds of people attended the event to sample olive oils, olives, honey, gourmet food and bread and local arts and crafts.

The festival began at 10 a.m. with the blessing of the festival by a father of St. Rose Catholic Church.

The festival featured olive oil and olive vendors both locally and outside the county featuring products along with free olive oil tasting, tasting seminars, cooking demonstrations, and more. Local wineries and breweries were also featuring tastings with a commemorative wine glass for a fee.

The festival included music and special children’s entertainment located near the playground.
