32 arrests made in San Luis Obispo for St. Patty’s Day

–The San Luis Obispo Police Department was at maximum deployment throughout the St. Patrick’s Day weekend starting March 17 through the 18. The purpose was to monitor the St. Patrick’s Day activities which are traditionally a busy time in the city. A strict enforcement policy was in place to ensure the safety of the community and to minimize disruption to the downtown businesses.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department said they would like to thank Cal Poly and the University Police Department for their participation and cooperation during this holiday. Additionally, whey said they would like to thank the overwhelming majority of the student population that made appropriate decisions to drink and behave responsibly.

The arrest breakdown for the last two years is as follows (647(f) indicates drunk in public).
