805 Beer to anchor Mid-State Fair rodeo event

Rodeo finals to include roping, racing and team events

Firestone Walker Brewing Company and the California Mid-State Fair announced that 805 Beer will serve as the new title sponsor of the 805 Country Rodeo Finals, scheduled for July 26 at the Paso Robles Event Center.

“This is an event that goes right to the heart of our community here in Paso Robles while embodying the grit and authenticity that drive the culture of 805 Beer,” said Nick Firestone. “We are excited to take our longtime partnership with the California Mid-State Fair to another level.”

California Mid-State Fair CEO Colleen Bojorquez said the partnership reflects shared values and supports community gatherings.

“We are thrilled that 805 Beer has joined to celebrate not only our shared values of tradition, community and excellence, but also our commitment to supporting events that bring our local people together,” Bojorquez said. “Our 805 Country Rodeo Finals brings together the very best in the sport and this partnership helps elevate the event.”

The 805 Country Rodeo Finals includes events such as match roping, team penning, double mugging, barrel racing and breakaway roping. 805 Beer’s products, including 805 Blonde Ale, 805 Cerveza, and 8ZERO5, will be available throughout the duration of the California Mid-State Fair. The brand’s mobile Airstream retail shop will also be on-site. 805 Beer maintains ties to rodeo culture through its brand representatives, including professional bronc rider Lefty Holman.

Firestone Walker’s support of the rodeo follows other recent local investments. The 2025 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest raised funds for Paso Robles Pioneer Day. The brewery is also a sponsor of the 2025 Paso Robles 4th of July Fireworks Show, and has been a longtime sponsor of Concerts in the Park in Paso Robles and Concerts in the Plaza in San Luis Obispo. The concert series benefit the Paso Robles REC Foundation and Downtown SLO, respectively.

“Supporting grassroots events and local institutions is one way we give back to the community that has shaped who we are,” Firestone said. “We’re proud to invest in the people, places, and traditions that make the Central Coast special.”
