    Ted Nugent performance cancelled

Controversial rocker Ted Nugent’s upcoming concert in Paso Robles has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to show promoter Nederlander Concerts, the San Luis Obispo Tribune reports. The news comes after similar cancellations prompted at least in one case by derogatory remarks Nugent made about President Barack Obama, the report said.

    Original story April 24, 2014:

Rock icon Ted Nugent will take the stage at Vina Robles Amphitheatre on Sunday, July 13.

As part of his SHUTUP & JAM! tour, rock icon Ted Nugent will take the stage at Vina Robles Amphitheatre on Sunday, July 13. Joining Nugent onstage will be Greg Smith on bass guitar, Wild Mick Brown on drums, and Derek St. Holmes on vocals and rhythm guitar. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m.

Nugent is known for his over-the-top live performances in his five decades of touring and is on tap to perform his 6,500th live show this summer. He will be pulling from a discography of 37 albums and perform an arsenal of hits throughout the tour. Nugent has sold more than 40 million albums; the release of his latest CD, also titled SHUTUP & JAM! will be available later this year on Frontiers Records.

“Though we can all agree that music is the ultimate communication, killer rock-n-roll is also the ultimate soul cleansing distraction from everyday life,” states Nugent. “I predict the most fun tour of our lives. Politics be damned! SHUTUP & JAM! ”

Tickets to see Ted Nugent at the Vina Robles Amphitheatre, located at 3800 Mill Road in Paso Robles, on Sunday, July 13 range from $30-65 and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets including Vina Robles Amphitheatre box office; by phone at (800) 745-3000, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

It would be nice to see someone I didn't see live when I was 15.

i so agree with the SHUT UP part…

    John Hardisty

    This singer is a bigot.

    Kristen Handley

Will be best show out there!

wouldn't pay a penny to see his old failing ass play anywhere; he's been a jerk for many years and if you've had the unpleasure of watching him perform back in the day, you're not missing anything now. I'd rather pay to see a great axe man who's guitar playing is stellar than a has been that lives to push his political views and bigotry on me at the cost of my dime.
