Update: Authorities identify four juvenile males connected to Templeton Feed and Grain fire

– The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has identified four juvenile males from northern San Luis Obispo County in connection with the fire that occurred around 11:30 p.m. on July 4 at the Templeton Feed and Grain building in the 400 block of South Main Street in Templeton.
According to the sheriff’s office, detectives determined that one of the juveniles was responsible for starting the fire. The Templeton Fire Department is the lead agency in the case and will work with the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office to evaluate potential arson-related charges.
No victims were reported in the incident.

Authorities looking for individuals seen near Templeton Feed and Grain fire
– The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Templeton Fire Department with an investigation into the fire that broke out at the Templeton Feed and Grain building on the 400 block of South Main Street around 11:30 p.m. on July 4.
Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help. Anyone who was in the area between South Main Street and Templeton Park between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on July 4, or who has surveillance footage from that timeframe, is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
Detectives are working to identify four to six individuals who were seen in the area at the time of the fire. The individuals were wearing dark clothing, and at least one person was carrying a backpack. Authorities believe that individuals associated with a nearby vehicle may have spoken with these subjects just prior to the incident. Detectives are seeking to speak with the occupants of that vehicle.
