Man arrested for lewd acts and child pornography
On Jan. 6, Paso Robles Police Detectives received information from a reliable source that a suspect, Steven Lindhorst of Paso Robles, was in possession of child pornography on his personal computer.

Detectives started an investigation and obtained a search warrant to analyze the contents of Lindhorst’s computer. With the assistance of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab numerous digital images of suspected child pornography were discovered on his computer. Some of the images and videos appeared to have been manufactured by Lindhorst.
This additional information lead to a second search warrant for Lindhorst’s residence where a second computer hard drive was located. This second hard drive was also analyzed leading to the discovery of additional suspected digital images of child pornography.
In total, detectives discovered approximately 24,000 images and 200 videos, most containing images of pubescent children engaged in sexual acts.
An arrest warrant was obtained, and detectives placed Lindhorst under arrest on Wednesday evening for several felony violations. He was later transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail on the following charges:
• Steven Martin Lindhorst, 51, of Paso Robles – Lewd act with a child under 14 years of age (felony), possession of child pornography (felony), possession of explicit child pornography (felony), posting intimate photos of another without consent (misdemeanor).
This investigation is ongoing as detectives attempt to identify victims depicted in the digital images. At this time detectives have identified and contacted fourteen victims. Police are encouraging anyone with information regarding additional victims to contact the Paso Robles Police Department.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not keep any secret sex offenders register, nor do they protect or condone KNOWN persons that commits sick crimes such as this. Once this disturbing revelation was found out, Mr. Lindhorst was immediately disfellowshipped from the Christian Congregation and is no recognized as one of Jehovah's Witness. There is ZERO tolerance in the organization, and persons are more than free to report any such crimes to law enforcement without having a witness to any type of crime, including ones such as this. There are some who post things that are cases that may have been years old and despite whatever links they may post are not they attorneys that sat on such cases and DO NOT HAVE ALL THE TRUE FACTS!!! They have an agenda and will not target other religious organizations that have members their committing such acts, only Jehovah's a Witnesses! So please do not believe these remarks…Jehovah's a Witnesses as a whole are law abiding people who will do everything possible to protect the welfare of any child and will NEVER EVER protect such a person from justice whether anyone is an Elder or not…now that's the real truth!!!

What makes Jehovah's Witnesses different from other religious organizations is that they will not allow anyone who tarnishes the word of God to remain within his organization.
And regarding a so-called secret book listing sex offenders. Could it be so that the organization can keep track of who these ones are.
Anyone who wishes can go to the police log on line and research those whom they might suspect, it's not the business of the Witnesses to laundry anyones dirty sheets.
The business of Jehovah's Witnesses is to bring the message of hope to the people, just as Jesus did, showing those who hunger for truth and longing for hope of a new system, when a true and lasting peace will be ushered in, when mankind will at last be able to reside here upon this earth, where sickness, pain and death will be a thing of the past.
