"..they discovered the body of a man in the driveway of the home." ~ Uh oh!

    Dharminder Singh

    What?? In driveway !!??

    Kathleen Blankenship-Sauret

He broke into the home, but was in the driveway….hmmmm.

    Lori Brown

Well hopefully he was shot in the home and landed in the driveway. Fear for their lives.

And 3 shots were necessary hmmm!

A 911 call had come in from a female stating that her husband shot a man who entered their residence, the report says……….. Appears as though the homeowner may have been in fear of his life and the safety of his family. Secondly if the deceased ended up in the driveway, it is most likely he ran from the house after being shot. He most likely dropped dead in the driveway from his wounds that he sustained for entering a home uninvited and not his place of residence. At 12:11 AM and in that area the folks who live there pretty much know that something is hinky when all residents are at home. Like it or not the deceased accepted the consequences of his actions/choice when he made a decision to enter a place of residence that was not his. I have no problem with what the homeowner did to protect himself and his family.

    Josue Josh Gallardo

Fool probably trying running after he got cap…it's dark that way…

    Chad Rice

What u read in the paper and what actually happened could be completely different versions altogether and they probably are bcuz i happen to be very close to the victim myself and i know that he would not break into a house as he is not a home invasion type of guy . Also what was the guy being threatened with people cuz the victim was found dead in the driveway no weapons and no stolen goods so before u self claiming wannabe cops go judging a dead man and claiming he got what he deserved why dont you actually read the whole story and use your common sense to put the pieces together.

    Gabriel Corbitt

The victim's my big brother & that man taught me everything i know. Fuzz was happy, respectful, and he WASN'T a person that lacked any kind of commonsense! I guess you could call him a "people person" Everything he stood for was 100% legit! What more do I have to say, he was a 'straight-up' kind of guy! Makes a honest living. Loyal & Righteous! Marshall Savoy DIDNT show up at that house with bad intentions!! Unarmed and nicely dressed.
This is now the second time this week 'shots fired, were reported in the same location.
There is a lot of pissed off people that want some answers!

    Lynne Gamble

This is not a simple home defense case, and the wife did not say that the man broke into their home. There is more going on here. Check out the comments to the story on Calcoastnews.com. The homeowner has been arrested and charged with murder.

    Judy Wolf

Lynne Gamble Agree. No case is a simple case. I did read the article you suggested and read the comments as well. I believe in such cases as this, it is customary to arrest a person in incidents such as this in order to do an investigation to verify the individuals story and those present. Interviews, forenscic eveidence verses statements by those present by trained investigators/detectives who in turn, turn over what they have found to the D.A.'s Office who will decide as to whether any charge/charges shall be filed. So I quess we'll all have to wait until then. As far as the comments go on the article at Cal Coast News. Simply gossip at this point and time. We all have a point and moments in our life we are not proud of, so I'll continue to bypass the gossip. Just because someone may have done something you or I might not have choosen to do in the past does not not automatically make them guilty as charged. This is America (barely recognizable as it is) and "WE" are given the benefit of doubt by being "Innocent, Until Proven Guilty." It's just too bad our society is so quick to judge others on hearsay rather than facts. And sometimes we need to question those facts.

    Judy Wolf

911 call had come in from a female stating that her husband shot a man who entered their residence,….True she did not state "he" had "broke" into their home in her call to 911, but she did state….female stating that her husband shot a man who entered their residence….She did not clarify in her call whether he had entered by invitation or was a guest at their home…Stated…."her husband shot a man who entered their residence"…..Appears as though at this stage he entered the wrong home for whatever reasons and I still do not have a problem with what the homeowner did.

    Mike Tayon

My post was "Uh oh!", meaning the shooter will prolly be in trouble, that is all.

    Gina Marie

thank you chad for saying this I grew up with marshall since we were kids and i know him too he is a good guy i talked to his aunt earlier and he was just protecting her

    Gina Marie

    agreed

    Andrea Bunyea

Y is it that so many people insist on speculating and then go ebent further and put in their two cents about the "character " of Marshall??? It's absolutely irritating!!! IF YOU DON'T KNOW WTF HAPPENED OR WHO HE WAS PLEASE STOP POSTING YOUR VERSION OF THE STORY!!!! DAMN! The only thing that is known for sure is the authorities are not revealing details for some reason…. if u wanna speculate then run your imaginations wild with potential reasons for the lack of updates and info made available to the public…..I'm sure u will find your need to uncover scandal and drama better filled there than trying to create a monster out of the one true victim here….RIP Marshall

    Susan Reinert

As Marshall's aunt on his mom's side, I am so surprised to hear people blaming him for everything that happened. Although our contact was limited in the last few years, he was a wonderful man to his family. He took responsibility for his actions and stood up like a man.
I am glad to see so many people speak up for him.

    Keary Mason

I do not know the victim or the suspect but I will say this. Just because someone has a past it DOES NOT make them a bad person. It also doesn't make their past who they are now. Stop trashing a person's character who can't defend himself and show some respect to his family. RIP

    Leslie Ledesma

Do you have any idea of what you say Judy? Let me tell you. NO you dont so keep your ignorant comments to yourself about my baby brother who loved God and wouldnt disrespect anyones home in the way you speak of. His girlfriend lived there and the man and woman started arguing and my brother was doing the noble thing and trying to protect the wife from the monster that murdered him. And I DO have a problem with what the owner did and so does his mother and his 6 and 9 year old daughters. I'll be your voice forever Marsh. I love you.

    Jacke Dettmer

Marshall Savoy was one of my best friends… He took me under his wing when my son's dad ( one of his best friends) went to prison. He has been my rock for the last 5 years and he was one of the most amazing people I've ever known, so PLEASE don't speculate on what you think might have happened or what kind of person you THINK he was based on a news reporter's write up based on half truths and third hand stories. This is tragic and he was wonderful and he deserves to be remembered and respected for everything that made him Marshall.

    Laurette Linay Lober

This is to all the idiots letting their minds run away with them. What makes you think that the wife's call to 911 was the truth? Her husband just murdered a man, Really! you think she's going to incriminate him. None of you know the circumstances! I communicated with Marshall six days ago he was happy, healthy and had a great outlook on life. Marshall was a good man with a great heart!!!! His good far outweighed any faults he may have had. Those of you planting the seeds against Marshall's character have absolutely no right to do so, and are nothing more than cowards!!!

    Judy Wolf

Leslie, First, my condolences to you & your family. Secondly, I did not speak ill or attack your "baby brother" in a personal manner. I am sorry you have perceived my comments as such. I wish you and your family no harm and am sorry for your grief. Please accept my apology for adding to your grief.

    Jessica Hope

Marshall was a straight up man and would never show up to a place with a child in the home to start any problems. If there was any foul play it wouldn't be on his end. He was a very good friend of mine and I would bet my life on his innocence and that it was in just murder! Rest in Paradise Marshall! I pray for your justice!

    Chad Rice

I love your life marshall and i will stand up for everything you believe in brother bcuz i know your heart is golden and you lived your life with the upmost honesty and respect that people deserved. You may have hit a few bumps in the road of life but we all do i miss you homeboy and im glad i got to have you in my life its an honor knowing you and it will be an honor keeping your uplifting spirit surrounding us all as thats how you would want it to be.
